Its a work of art. I'm almost afraid to use it, I think it deserves to be framed. Handmade and fresh of the runway!
This is the coolest Chanel I've ever seen!
I love purses! They are my favorite things in the world! I am not 18, but I do have a lot of
influence on the San Diego Community. As a correspondent for the "Teen Perspective" on
www.sandiegotheatrescene.com, and the newspapers Rancho Santa Fe Review, Del Mar Village
Voice, and Carmel Valley News, I go to all the opening night parties and galas for the
Theatre/Opera Scene in San Diego. Where ever I go, I always receive complements on my
eccentric style, and of course, my purses. Many people have told me that they love to
come and see what I am wearing. Some people collect shoes, but I collect purses! I
spend my money on purses! If I won, I would be the talk of the town and I would be
so happily accessorized when I pull out my pen and pad to write my reviews.
The feel of soft leather...
it makes me feel better to hold my dear LV, for it makes me feel free - don't worry what to wear, why should I even care when I have this great bag; oh, it makes me feel glad: this bag makes my outfit, don't regret it a bit.
Yes, Bag Borrow or Steal
There's Burberry, and Coach;
How to beat looking rich? They rock your world - what else do you need in life?
I am a Bagaholic!!! And not ashamed to admit it!!! My first great bag was a huge, leather, Carpetbag which became my
trademark, and I've been hooked ever since--Let's face it-Not everyone can wear a size 2, or spend thousands on shoes,
or jewelry-- But a great handbag can come in any size, shape or price point, and still make you feel like a million
bucks!!! There is nothing like being in the handbag department and spotting that next great bag--it almost calls your
name-inching you closer and closer, until you pick it up and start caressing it; loving the texture, the size, the
weight, the smell-and knowing instantly-THIS IS MINE!!! ---Unlike other purchases, I have never in my life debated
between "this bag" or "that"...well, now that I think of it-I guess I never debated, because when in doubt...
I always bought them both!!
I LOVE BAGS! People may think that bags are cool to have b/c they are the it thing, but I think they are amazing b/c you can express your style or mood all with one amazing accessorie. They are amazing b/c they don't even have to match exactly what you're wearing. I love matching my bag with my shoes, or even my jewelry. They are just so versatile and they really show who you are as a person inside and out and that is what makes them so attractive to me.
Hello! I am Caitlin, and as much as i would have loved sending you a picture of me rolling in tons of designer bags, I cannot. For I am a deprived bagaholic, in much need of bags. In the picture I sent I choseto show you my Dooney & Bourke bag, my best bag in need of retirement. I am also counting my money hoping that I can save enough to replace my dear old Dooney for it is in much need of retirement. Please know that I would be honored to be your Cheif Bag Officer and share my love of bags with others who share that passion for fashion and of couse handbags!
Forever and Always, Caitlin
I am America's Ultimate Bagaholic because I absolutely LOVE handbags! I
am not your average teenager that just likes to have a cool, trendy
handbag. I have always loved designer handbags before people my age
started having them. When I am out shopping, no matter where I am, I
always go right to the handbag section! I can also always tell an
authentic from a knock-off handbag, where other people cannot. I one day
hope to have a giant closet full of my favorite authentic bags! My
family calls my aunt and my obsession "The Purse Gene" because we can't
help that we love bags so much, that it is just in our genetics! Every
time we see each other we always have a new trendy bag and everyone else
in the family makes fun of our obsession.
In a restaurant one night, carrying a cute purse, noticed another woman with a cute bag. Approached her, complimented her, she returned the compliment. Agreeing that we liked the other person's bag better, I said, "Would you want to trade?" "Yes!" We dumped the contents of our bags right there, traded bags, and both laughed and walked away happy ladies. I am 26 years old, southern girl, and purses are HUGE to me. I love their creativity, the way they accentuate an outfit, and how they brighten a bad day. Choose me for this position-I would serve with love!
As much as I would love to release my inner Bagaholic, I can't. My funds are sadly low, my meager earnings from CVS don't allow my bag budget to extend as far as I wish it could. My inner bagaholic would finally be given the aknowledgment that it has always deserved if only I could tote the most exclusive bags available from the Bag, Borrow, or Steal website. Mui Mui, Moschino and my favorite Marc Jacobs; so many fabulous bags, so little time! If only I could afford to carry the chicest bags without breaking the bank...you get the hint.
I have a closet full of handbags—All low-end brands. I recently gave up a massage and facial in order to buy my first designer handbag. When it arrived, I immediately became a bagaholic. I blogged all about it, posted photos, and even considering starting a blog just for my handbag. I was that smitten! Now, I HAVE to have more! Without any more spa days to trade-in, I have no way of living the couture handbag lifestyle I am meant to live. I am a Prada girl living on a "trendsetter" budget. Please help me accomplish my dream!
I'm absolutely obsessed with handbags - here's proof:
I'm a bag hag! I own over 100 handbags. My very first one is an authentic vintage Gucci tote that I bought at a garage sale for $8 when I was 8 years old! It was fate! I'm a bag fiend! I don't just buy bags, I design my own. I founded Stylesse Handbags to further feed my handbag addiction! I'm a bagaholic! Last year I launched What's Haute - a handbag blog, and Hauteness - the 1st online handbag magazine to write about my love for handbags all day, everyday! Handbags are my life!
My love of handbags dates back to living in Italy my junior year in
college. There I was exposed to some of the world's most beautiful leather goods,
of course, but also to hundreds of years of incredible design--the
exquisite use of color and shape and texture and decoration--in everything from
jewelry to furniture to buildings. (Along with this I was exposed to
hundreds of beautiful paintings from many different periods). From that
time on I became attuned to the use of every design element all around me,
but, since it was something I used every day, especially in clothing, shoes,
and handbags. Since then I have collected antique and vintage handbags and
bought Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, etc. etc. with a deep
appreciation
of every detail.
My first love had always been handbags. That is, until I met a man who knew his handbags! I knew I had found Mr. Right when he arrived on my doorstep with a beautiful candy apple Kate Spade handbag. As I frequently tell him, "You had me at Kate Spade." That was over six years ago and his most recent handbag purchase was a Kate Spade Diaper Bag. With numerous attempts to fit diapers, pacifiers, wipes, bottles, bibs, etc. into my beloved Louis, I find the new Kate quite appropriate. And while saving for my son's college tuition raids my mind daily, I can't stop the visions of Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs and Chanel handbags dancing in my head. P.S. I love searching for handbag designers that are not yet well known. The bag featured in my pic is the Ballerina handbag by DeLaune - great line of bags!!
As you can see by my picture I am the worlds largest bagaholic. I not only have more than 100 bags of all sizes and shapes I have the same bag in different colors. My fiance' every time we pass a shoe or bag store he feels my heart and pulse to see if it is racing. He literally has to drag me out of a store and outlet. I have a separate closet just for shoes and handbags.
Bags...............my biggest passion!
How is it possible to not love bags?!?! What's an outfit without this essential final note? It can enhance your statement, make it strong, or elegant, or cozy! And what a pleasure to fish out your pretty Chanel lipstick from your matching Chanel bag? Or if not bags - what would we match to our shoes, nails, jewelry, gloves, cars? What would we break our minds about - does it or does it not match my skin, dress, hair? This is a whole art and science to find the matching one that is just right, everything about it, even its size. If you fail, it's a disaster; and, if you succeed, it's such a feeling of accomplishment and all the endorphins are yours! Decisively, without bags our life would be soooooooo boring! I guess it's the reason that I have more than two hundred in my private collection. They are my friends, they talk to me, I relate to them.... But who said that you can have enough bags?!
Last week, I wanted a LeSportsac. Yesterday, I craved for a Birkin. Today, I need that Target bag.
Tomorrow, who knows! I'm entering my senior year of high school and I've seen the kids I grew up with
gradually form their own sense of style. Everyone seems to express themselves through clothing, but I want
to be unique and show off my sense of fashion through my purses. If I could, I would sport a different purse
every day, yet my dad says that's a want, not a need. Now, I have found a site that makes us both happy.
My passion for bags came from within the amniotic sac, which was
probably made of calf-skin leather! My awareness of burgeoning bag
passion came with a heart-pounding desire for a Coach bag. It was
dark-red, short-handled, and a long rectangular shape. At 13, I knew
THIS bag would set me apart from the crowd; it was ecstasy when I
smelled and caressed that thick leather. I study stitching, leathers,
styles, and brands; it's always a religious experience when bagaholics
give a knowing "love your bag" nod. That red Coach bag is now careworn,
but my heart hasn't stopped pounding!
I know this might sound silly but when I fill out an application for a
new job or when someone asks me if I have any special interests I always
say, "Designer handbags!" Sometimes I get funny looks but lately this
addiction thing is getting more popular. Maybe this is why so many bags are out of
stock on the website! Either way, I love my addiction and I will not get
help from a doctor or specialist anytime soon! My rule for LIFE is:
NEVER buy a bag bigger than your butt.
If you're a millionaire and owner of a hundred designer bags, could you call yourself a bagaholic? Maybe not, because you probably
also suffer from each and every kind of addiction there is. What about if you've been dreaming of owning the most coveted bags for
years, but you're still without one? Bagaholic? No way! But say you're unemployed, drives a used 15-year-old Toyota, with savings
that'll only last you a month or two, and you own at least a dozen designer bags, including one that costs $4000 wouldn't be most
worthy of the title? My name is Kristine and I have a terminal case of bagaholism. I could scrimp on practically anythingclothes,
jewelry, food, trips, haircuts(anything!) but NEVER bags. I was born with the disease and there's no curing it. Not even the
annoying nagging of the husband on a daily basis. I even took this picture myself, because I'm pretty sure he'll be against
the photo shoot! Ladies, say hello to your new CBO!
The smell of the leather, the joy of finding the pockets inside. Coordinating cosmetic case tucked away, tying on a floaty scarf, and heading out! Something about that bag makes me walk a little straighter, a spring in my step. Shoulder it, carry it, or hang it on my arm in the crook of my elbow? Placing it, casually, on the counter at the coffee shop, smiling to myself, as the barista took pause and noticed! Opening, finding, and then, that sound! The zipper: swift, sharp. Makes my heart skip a beat! Ahh, I got a new bag!
Hi, my name is LaJune and I am definitely a Bag-A-Holic. I became addicted to my LOVE for bags around 15 years of age. I remember my very first designer bag was a vintage Gucci that my mommy gave me, after that the rest was history. I LOVE bags so much that I started to make bags of my own. Just to be different I would cut a pair of old jeans use the waist for the strap, and the rest for the actual bag. I started to get so many compliments on the bags that I started making them for my friends. I would add swarvoski crystals, with paints and patched just to add detail. I am into fashion period. With that being said I would like to admit that I am not only into designer bags but cheap ones as well. I like to shop for purse at Target, Nordstrom, Saks & Thrift stores etc...... I Think That I would be a GREAT Chief Bag Officer because I really have a PASSION for bags. And I can also relate and Blog not those that are less expensive as well. I would LOVE the chance to be your Chief Bag Officer and BLOG about AWESOME BAGS.
Ever since I could remember, I have been what you would call obsessed with handbags.
(My current obsessions are Coach and Dooney & Bourke.) I live in a very small town in
the middle of nowhere in a manufactured home. Deep inside this home, and probably worth
more than our home, is my collection of bags. I have bought pocketbooks even while we
were in serious debt, even going to a loan shark to borrow money for a new Coach. Purses
are my "thing." I couldn't live without them. I currently have about 9 favorites! If
chosen, I will be very proud to hold the title of America's Ultimate Bagaholic! :)
The craziest thing I've ever done was when I hopped a plane to "My Flat in London." I had to have the hottest new bag
that "Chloe" told me about. On the flight I sat in "Coach" between "Betsey Johnson" and "Michael Kors." They were nice.
As I gazed out at the "Pink Moon" I fell asleep. Later, I met my friends "Dooney & Bourke." We grabbed my "Louis Vuitton"
luggage and headed for "Hermes." Upon arriving the store was closed! My bag was in the window. My lips were "Juicy."
I was actually drooling! I "Guess" you'll have to come back tomorrow, said "Dooney." Was his brain "Frye"d? I would
have to use my "Charm and Luck." I called in favors to "Dolce & Gabbana." The doors were unlocked and soon I was
sitting in the back of the car cradling my new baby and saying "Gucci" "Gucci" goo.
Fendi, Prada, Bulga, Pucci
Lulu, Kooba, send me Gucci. I love Tod's and Felix Rey But I need some more Gaultier! Coach, Furla, Moyna, Frye, Leiber, Chanel, DKNY. My game's on with Louis Vuitton, Paint the town with Yves St. Laurent. Celine, Gustto, Tina Turk, Everyone loves Dooney & Bourke. Perlina, Chloe, and Cole Haan Help me get my party on. Feel like Ivana with Dolce & Gabbana, Light up the room with Pianegonda. Go to work with a sleek Moschino, Weddings and parties with Valentino. Think it sounds a bit unreal? It's got to be Bag, Borrow, or Steal!
For my 30th birthday I received a gift that changed my life. For 30 years I carried
unattractive $11 "purses" purchased at Shopko, and K-Mart. My friends pitched in and
bought me a barrel shaped Dooney and Burke "handbag." I have to admit-I had no idea
what Dooney and Burke was! Since that time I have become addicted to designer handbags.
I now own Coach and multiple Kate Spades. I don't think my experience is unique-one
bag and you're hooked! The great thing about bagborroworsteal is now any woman can
have the chance to try a life changing event!
It began with a Hello Kitty beaded purse at 4 years old. Then came the
Esprit canvas tote bag in junior high, a coach signature tote in
college, to an eventual Prada barrel bag from Mom that cast me into designer
territory. Now, I think the Louis Vuitton store knows me by my first name. I have
become a bag whore.
I do not consider my handbag an accessory. It is an extension of my personality, a hint of my personal style and usually carries the most important material items in my life. What girl hasn't needed a bag to carry their most personal items with them, even for a quick trip to the movies? (red vines anyone?) Therefore with all the uses of a bag, to label it as an accessory is quite frankly an insult. I love my bags and have come to terms with the fact that bags are my vice-boys have football and I have bags! Who knew a Hello Kitty purse would lead to such an obsession?
My name is Marisa and I should be America's Ultimate Bagaholic! I love handbags and I am a huge collector,
I believe that each bag
will be a collectors item in the future. I think it is so amazing how these designers have influenced so many people in the fashion industry and impacted today's society into the trendy world of handbags. I myself am striving to become a handbag/accessories designer and I am extremely passionate about fashion and especially HANDBAGS! Everyone around me thinks I am crazy each time I purchase a new bag, but you know what it is what I love and it is what I will love forever. I know how the right accessory makes the outfit, and I think that my fashion sense and passion for handbags would be great for the position of chief bag officer and would show greatly in my critiquing of the bags of the season. So, in conclusion I can go on for days about how much I am obsessed with handbags but I will just say please choose me because I am your girl for this position. THANK YOU
My name is Marygrace and being Catholic, I have been teased relentlessly to join the sisterhood. Though I have nothing against my faith, I find it difficult to resist the "allure" of a designer purse. Whether it is Vuitton, classic Gucci, chic Prada, trendy Burberry...a purse always evokes a spiritual-like upliftment. And so unlike certain clothes that can be unflattering when you've put on a few pounds, you can NEVER go wrong with a great purse ! For someone into handbags since the day shoe-matching was required, you will definitely send me to "handbag heaven" as your "Ultimate Bagaholoic."
Being America's Ultimate Bagaholic is my passion. I simply can't get enough when it
comes to handbags. Spending hours a day researching and browsing, I don't always
acquire handbags because of a trend, I am also about function. Luxurious and most
functional bag being my 2007 Celine Bittersweet Hobo. I fell in love with this bag
when I visited Celine in NYC. Biggest collection of Kooba, carrying several from
bagborroworsteal.com but I own many, Keira in camel is my favorite. Proudly known
as 'Kooba girl' at Nordstrom at Mall of America. I carried COACH on my wedding day,
choosing the dress to match the bag. Handbags don't just stop at leather and jacquard
for me. For our two year anniversary, my husband designed for me a diamond encrusted
white gold handbag necklace pendant. He supports me and my handbag addiction and
that is the Ultimate combination!
1st Step — Admittance. Constant sufferer from Bagaholism — but by day I am an interior designer. I love to collect bags that make statements — some are $3 and some are $350. But here's the main scoop: When student loan money contributions ceased, my 'disposable income' ended and no longer could I afford my favorite handbags. So, with inspiration from the many memo samples we designers touch daily, I started sewing my own creations. Old Motto: 'If you can't afford 'em, design 'em' — but now I have new hope in being able to fondle great pieces once again with your website — and I can't stop thinking about Prada Frame Clutch!!
The Handbag Files: Chapter One
It all started with a red patent Coach bag. Not just any bag, but the rare and coveted Red Patent Leather Gallery Tote. It was love at first sight. Beautifully crafted, shiny and rich in crimson color, something about carrying that bag made me feel like a million dollars. And that's why I love handbags. Be it fashion or function (or both), a good bag can make for a great day. I've since moved on to dozens of other bags. But that very first Coach will always have a special place in my heart.
I Love designer bags! I am a fashion diva and whenever a new dooney & bourke (which is my favorite) comes out i just have to have it! I love coach, chanel, hermes, prada!
You name and i have to have it!!
I am a bagoholic! I chose this photo because it is of me and my favorite D&B IT bag from last season.
Please pick me so i can stay in style, it's hard being a single mom and trying to keep up! Help !
To say I love bags would be an understatement!!! It's come to the point at my work that the VP of my job won't let his wife know what I'm carrying because he knows she'll want it too!!! My favorite bag right now is my latest buy from Cynthia Rowley I got a great deal on it from Saks and I'm not gonna lie I stuck my face in it just to smell it and feel it. It's so soft and I love it because it's HUGE!!! Second in line are my 2 Juicy's they are so colorful and hold everything I need to function.
Every since I was a little girl I have always loved purses (bags). I would walk around with my mom's bags on my arm. i would hold my arm at a 90 degree angle so that the bag wouldn't fall.
My love of bags changes with the outfits I wear or the season. Right now, I am in love with Kathy Van Zeeland bags. She pays attention to detail. Bags are survival kits for all women. Whether it is looking for a cell phone or lokking for that bottle of Pamprin for cramps. If I win the bagaholic contest, I would be the happiest lady in the world! Well, as the word say's I am a "bagaholic" if I would have the money, and let's just pretend I do, there would be the best material's, the best designer and of cause the newest model's in my closet. In the past I have definitely lied about how much a hand-bag cost's or I would not be married anymore, and I have stolen for one, ( my first Louis Vuitton) from one of my previous husband's to get the bag I wanted. Bag's are fashion statement for me if we would have no more designer's, I would have to (sorry) kill a deer or a cow to make me one. From a young age I have designed my own clothing, so naturally I have also designed bag's and had them made of the best Italian leather, since I grew up in Germany, Italy was one of my favorite places to get purses and shoe's. I have a large collection, but I only put a few together or nothing would be identifiable The P.S. Bag lady
Acessories, shoes, bags, jewelry and the like, are equalizers in the
fashion world. So many of us will never wiggle our derrieres into
fabulous couture. We can, however, buy a work of art to accentuate an
outfit or to brighten a room for that matter. Like art, the perfect
bag can inspire conversation. Consider such wonders as
www.purseblog.com where people from everywhere critique and champion
the artists and pieces of the various houses of couture. Bags foster
awe, imitation and envy. "Bagaholic" connotes a negative, but this
obession is, in the end, based in a search for truth and beauty.
