Do I have to be an Avelle Member or Guest Member to use this service?
No, you do not need to sign up to become an Avelle Member to use our Repair Service. (Though if you wish to become a free Guest Member you will enjoy rental privileges to thousands of authentic designer accessories and access to our members-only Outlet where you can purchase new and gently used designer accessories at discounted prices.)
How does Avelle determine repair costs?
All of our prices are set, and your cost is based on the service(s) you select on your Cleaning & Repair Request Form. However, if during the initial inspection of your handbag we discover that your handbag could benefit from additional cleaning and/or repairs we will contact to discuss those procedures and costs with you. We will never perform additional services without your authorization.
What brands of handbags does Avelle repair and clean?
We refurbish all brands and all styles of handbags, regardless of age or condition.
How closely can Avelle match leather and replacement parts?
We are very good at matching colors and parts very closely. If we are concerned about our ability to touch up the color or the hardware on your handbag we will tell you before we begin any work.
How long does it take?
Most items can be completed in 3-5 weeks. Depending on the work you request and the availability of supplies, it will vary. Rest assured we will work diligently to complete your request as soon as we can.
What if you can't fix my handbag?
If for any reason we do not believe we are able to fix your handbag we will contact you. We will also return your handbag via UPS Ground Shipping at no additional cost to you.
Should I insure my handbag when I send it to you?
We ask you to make the determination about insuring your handbag when it's en route to us. We do not offer shipping insurance at this time.
Can I send more than one handbag in a box?
Yes, you can send as many handbags as you like in each box. You will need to complete a separate Cleaning & Repair Request Form for each handbag, however.
Does Avelle repair jewelry, watches or sunglasses?
Currently we are only performing refurbishment on handbags. In the future, we may include more categories of products.
What if I can't print out a Cleaning & Repair Request Form?
If you are unable to print out the form at www.avelle.com/ handbag-repair-form, please contact Avelle customer service at customerservice@avelle.com or 1-866-922-2267 and we will gladly mail a form to you.
Will I be notified when my handbag arrives at the Avelle repair center?
Yes, we will contact you within 1 business day of receiving your handbag.
Will I be notified when my handbag refurbishment is complete?
Once the requested work is completed on your handbag we will contact you to let you know your handbag is on its way back to you. If you are not an Avelle Member with a credit card on file we will request credit card information at this time.
How do I pay?
If you are an Avelle Member with a credit card on file with us we will charge your card and send your handbag back to you as requested. If you are not an Avelle Member, we will call you to set up a credit card billing account, and we will then send your handbag back to you as requested. We provide complimentary UPS Ground Service return shipping to all customers. If you wish, you may select an expedited shipping service for an additional fee.
Who pays for return shipping?

Can I request expedited return shipping?
We provide complimentary UPS Ground Service return shipping, however you may select an expedited shipping service on your Cleaning & Repair Request Form for an additional fee.
Can I send in the bag I own to be refurbished with my Avelle rental items?
YES! If you are sending back a rental return you may also send us the item's you would like us to clean or repair. Please make sure you include the Cleaning & Repair Request form inside each of the items you would like cleaned or repaired.
